Developer Comment: Our big two goals for the Lt. Morales changes were to offer a bit more variety in the viability of her talent choices, and to increase the amount of utility she brings to the field. In the past, Lt. Morales tended towards a passive play-style, where talents that increased her survivability were usually the best options because her base kit was already very strong. This can be very frustrating for team compositions that lacked specific tools to deal with her. With how much raw healing output she offers, we found it hard to inject more power into her other abilities or talents without it affecting her overall balance or play style. We found a solution to both these problems in her new energy system. Morales players should still be able to keep their team alive for long periods of time, but, with pressure, clever enemies can exhaust her energy and eventually run her down. Although this does add an additional layer of complexity to Lt. Morales, it is offset by a new set of tools that skilled players can leverage to keep her team happy and healthy.

Stealth
- Abilities that reveal Stealthed/Cloaked Heroes will no longer remove the Stealth/Cloak effect, but will instead temporarily reveal the cloaked Hero.
- The following talents now function while under the effects of Stealth granted by another player (ex: Tyrande’s Shadowstalk):

Developer Comments: Some revealers, like Oracle from Tassadar and now Scouting Drone, are very binary in their ability to reveal Heroes, by design. But their purpose is to provide scouting and position of the enemy, and not to negate the effects of Talents or Abilities that rely on Stealth to provide their benefit. While examining these conditional Talents, we decided that it would be more interesting to allow synergies between external sources of Stealth these Talents. We like that choices like Tyrande’s Shadowstalk or Medivh’s Invisibility become more interesting if you have allies that gain additional benefits from Stealth on your team.

- Spell Shield: A cooldown timer will now properly appear when Spell Shield’s effects are triggered in the same moment that the Talent was activated.

- Damage Reduction: When two damage reduction effects, such as Resistant (25%) and Hardened Shield (75%), are simultaneously applied to a Hero, the larger effect will no longer be overridden by the lesser effect.

- Displacement Grenade (E)
- Displacement Grenade no longer explodes on contact and passes through everything. After a 0.0625 second delay, players can now re-activate the Grenade causing it to explode on command, damaging and displacing enemies. Displacement Grenade automatically explodes if it reaches max range.

Developer Comments: We have been looking for ways to add gameplay to our Supports, and believe that Lt. Morales’s Displacement Grenade is a place where we could give her more control. We’re hoping that this gives players an opportunity to make bigger plays by having more control of where they want the enemy hero to move with the Grenade’s knockback

- Calldown: MULE: Will now properly acquire a new repair target if the Structure it is actively repairing is destroyed.

- Damage dealt by splash and cleave attacks will no longer trigger effects that would otherwise require a direct attack to trigger (ex: Block, Spell Shield, Imposing Presence, etc.)

Developer Comments: We want to give players more options to deal with the chain-stuns that have resurged after the scaling changes went into effect. We believe this increase in power to Cleanse should allow teams some counter- play against stun-heavy compositions.
Bug Fixes
- Damage prevented by Lt. Morales' Safeguard will now always be displayed in whole numbers.
- Fixed an issue that could cause a Medivac to persist on the battlefield if Lt. Morales was killed while casting Medivac Dropship.

- Fixed an issue that caused the player’s camera to remain locked on Lt. Morales’ Medivac Dropship after exiting it with Camera Lock enabled.

New Hero
Lt. Morales has been added to Heroes of the Storm and is now available for play! Read on for a brief overview of this new Support Hero’s Abilities.

- Regenerate 3% of your maximum Health per second after not taking any damage for 4 seconds.
Basic Abilities
- Healing Beam (Q)
- Heal an ally for 20 Health per second as long as they are in range. Reactivate to switch targets, or activate your Trait to cancel channeling.
- Safeguard (W)
- Grant target ally Resistant, reducing damage taken by 25% for 3 seconds.
- Displacement Grenade (E)
- Fire a grenade that explodes on the first enemy hit, dealing damage, and knocking enemies away.
Heroic Abilities
- Stim Drone (R)
- Grant an allied Hero 75% Attack Speed and 25% Movement Speed for 10 seconds.
- Medivac Dropship (R)
- Target a location for a Medivac transport. For up to 10 seconds before takeoff, allies can right-click to enter the Medivac.
